A standard service from Zest! Personal Chef Service will include entrées and some side dishes.  You can choose the frequency of cook days to meet your needs.  Typically, new clients will start by scheduling a one-time cook date.  During my initial free consultation, I will discuss a detailed food questionnaire with you and your family to assess the kinds of foods you like.  From this information I will design a menu for your family, and we can schedule a cook day that fits into your schedule.

On your cook day, I shop for the food and come to your home with my own cooking equipment, then spend the day preparing mouth-watering entrees for you and your family.  Meals will be packaged, labeled, and stored at your home.  Typically, one or two meals will be refrigerated and the others stored in your freezer.  This gives you the flexibility of having refrigerated meals ready for more immediate use and frozen meals that can be stored until you are ready to use them.  After cooking, I will clean up and leave your kitchen spotless.  You return to the wonderful aroma of your home-cooked food—ready to enjoy your first meal.

 I provide the list of foods that were prepared for you that day, as well as heating instructions for all your meals.  I recommend use of Pyrex reusable containers for the foods I prepare.  I can obtain these containers for you, and they are much better for the environment.  Please click on the link to Green Initiatives to see the many eco-friendly practices that I use at Zest! Clients are charged a fee for my service, plus they reimburse me after each cook day for the cost of their groceries.  I feel that this system is most fair, because the grocery costs depend on the types of foods you choose for your meals.  For instance, a client who selects a more upscale menu or chooses to use only organic produce will typically have higher grocery costs.
